Différence d'une B U.S de 68 par rapport à une B angl.?

Bonjour à tous,
j'ai lu dans les archives les évolutions concernant mes MGB destinées au marché US;notamment le 3e essuie-glace, les adaptations pour les normes anti-pollutions...
Quelqu'un peut-il éclairer ma lanterne? j'ai un modèle B de 68' ex U.S . Qui peut me dire ce qu'elle a de différent par rapport à une B destinée au marché européen?
Y a t-il surtout des modifications au niveau du moteur ?

Changement en 1968 sur les modèle destiné au marché nord américain
energy-absorbing steering column fitted; new steering wheel with push-fit centre instead of horn push; two steering column stalks fitted, on the left for direction indicators, horn, headlamp dip and flash, on the right for two-speed windscreen wipers, electric windscreen washer with Trico-Folberth pump, and overdrive if fitted; new steering column cowl, pannel light switch on the left of cowl; Trico side-entry steering lock fitted on the right of cowl for some US states and on US cars delivered in Germany; US cars without steering lock have ignition lock on the right of the cowl; padded safety facia without glovebox but with new console; rocker switches, including hazard warning light switch; cigar lighter standard; new instruments, 80mm speedometer and tachometer, separate oil and temperature gauges, temperature gauge marked C-N-H instead of F°: map pocket in passenger footwell standard on US roadster 'already found on GT); new interior mirrors of breakaway type, roadster has die-cast mirror bracket to windscreen top rail instead of fabricated bracket; roadster fitted with internal sun visors; Kangol lap and diagonal seat belts fitted as standard; US roadsters have seat belt mounting points on tonneau panel instead of wheelarch, with quick-release fastening driver's door mirror fitted as standard, GT also has wing mirror on right-hand front wing; introduction of dual-circuit braking system, with changes to master cylinder box, pedal, front disc brake pads, rear brake shoes, apart from master cylinder, brake fluid reservoir and brakepipe runs; all-amber lenses to front indicator and side lamps;US cars are fitted with label on the bonnet locking platform detailing compliance with Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standards and Environmental Protection Agency standards
18GF engines for the USA have the following differences; inlet manifold; cylinder head with air injectors, air manifold and air pump fitted on bracket from thermostat housing, driven by belt from spécial fan pulley; six blades metal fan; gulp valve and check valve fitted; special name and instruction plate to rocker cover.

Pour ceux qui veulent tout savoir de leur mgb, tout, il est absolument necessaire de posséder un bouquin "Original MGB" de Anders Ditlev Clausager. Mister Clausager est le secrétaire général du Btitish Motors Heritage.

Bonjour,

Je rejoins l'avis de Ducasse: le Clausager est indispensable à tout candidat à l'achat d'une MGB et incontournable pour tout propriétaire !

Le "Clausager" comme on l'appelle familièrement, est LA bible de référence à posséder absolument...
